Questions and Answers about Our Spa Experience
When should I arrive?
It is recommended to arrive at least 15–30 minutes before your scheduled treatment time. This time allows for filling out a health declaration if not completed before your arrival, changing clothes, and relaxing in the facilities before the massage begins.
What should I wear/bring?
Please bring a swimsuit for use in the wet facilities (hammam, ice bath, hot tub). We will provide you with a robe, towel, and flip-flops.
Is it recommended to eat before a massage?
We recommend arriving in comfortable clothing, avoiding a heavy meal beforehand, and refraining from alcohol and caffeine. Drink water before and after to stay hydrated.
Can I choose the gender of the therapist?
Yes, you can request a male or female therapist when making the reservation, subject to availability. We make an effort to match you with a therapist of your preferred gender, but if this is very important to you, you must specify it.
What do you do with valuables?
It is recommended to leave jewelry and valuables at home. During your stay at the spa, you will receive a personal/double locker for storing your belongings. Bringing expensive jewelry and storing it is solely the guest's responsibility.
Mobile phones
To maintain a calm atmosphere, we would appreciate it if you could switch your mobile phone to silent or vibrate mode in the changing rooms and during your stay in the spa area.
What do you do if the massage is too painful?
It is important to inform the masseuse immediately. A massage should not be painful, and severe pain should not be part of the experience. The pressure can be adjusted to your preference.
What do I do if I don't like the massage?
Our team of therapists is experienced and professional. However, there are times when a client may feel less comfortable with the treatment or not fully enjoy it. We recommend trying to guide the therapist before and at the beginning of the treatment, but if the experience was nevertheless compromised, please inform our spa staff so that we can offer an alternative solution.
What do you wear during the massage?
We recommend that every patient who comes to us undress to the level they feel comfortable with. Usually, for a full body massage, it is customary to remain with only the lower body covered, with a towel draped over. The therapist will work around the towel. If removing clothing makes you uncomfortable, it is advisable to discuss this with your masseur, and they will find a suitable solution for you. The massage therapist will provide you with privacy to undress and feel comfortable on the treatment table.
What to do during the massage?
Make yourselves comfortable. Your therapist may ask you to change positions or turn over in order to optimize the treatment or reach certain areas. In any case, throughout the treatment, you don't need to do anything special, except to rest your head and enjoy a wonderfully relaxing experience. Many people prefer to close their eyes completely, others prefer to talk to the masseur – it's up to you. This is your massage, and whatever feels natural to you is the best way to relax. You are always welcome to ask your therapist and request to avoid a certain area or to focus on another.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances sometimes arise. However, we reserve your treatment time and our professional team prepares for your arrival, therefore cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy.
Is it customary to leave a tip?
The customary tip in the hospitality industry is about 10%-20% of the treatment price. The decision of whether and how much to tip is at your discretion.
Age restriction
Entry to spa facilities and treatments is generally for ages 18 and over, unless otherwise specified. Treatments for youth aged 16 and over can be booked when accompanied by an adult.
Health Declaration
It is mandatory to inform the therapist about pregnancy, recent injuries, allergies, or chronic medical conditions to ensure safe treatment. We recommend filling out the health declaration sent to you in advance via message, so you can arrive at the spa with peace of mind and enjoy your experience.
Does the spa offer treatments in couples' rooms?
Yes. All of our spa complexes have couple's rooms to create a romantic couple's experience. At KEDEM SPA HOUSE, our regal spa suites are architectural creations designed for couples, with romantic spaces and adjacent treatment beds for a romantic indulgence. At Nordoy Hotel, there are two couple's rooms, and at The Yacht luxury hotel, there are two couple's rooms. At PALATIN luxury hotel, there is one couple's room.
What are the spa facilities' opening hours?
Each spa has its operating hours, and we update them periodically. Generally, all spa complexes are open 7 days a week. We recommend booking treatments in advance to ensure availability and the possibility of choosing a time that suits you. For weekends, it is advisable to book at least two weeks in advance.
Who are the network's therapists?
All therapists in our team are certified professionals with rich experience and expertise in the fields of massage and physical therapy. We maintain a high professional standard and a personal, warm approach to ensure that every treatment with us is precise, safe, and beneficial for you. Each therapist has different specializations, and we match the team of therapists to the types of treatments.
